This year, the Glendale Downtown Dash will also include a Family Fun Bike Ride! This portion of the Dash is non-competitive and takes advantage of the street closures in Downtown Glendale to allow individuals and families to have a fun safe bike ride. The Family Fun Bike Ride will begin approximately one hour after the Downtown Dash race has begun to avoid any confusion between bikers and runners and to give those interested the  opportunity to participate in both the run and the bike ride.

The Family Fun Bike Ride portion of the Glendale Downtown Dash was an idea brought to the Dash Committee by the L.A. County Bike Coalition. The L.A. County Bike Coalition is a membership supported advocacy organization working to improve the bicycling environment and quality of life in Los Angeles County. Important Details about the Family Fun Bike Ride

• The Family Fun Bike Ride begins at approximately 9:40 AM. Late participants will not be able to ride.
• The ride is non-competitive - no awards are given to early finishers.
• The ride is actually a 4k, with a slightly altered route from the Dash.
• Helmets are mandatory for all riders.
• There will be a separate check-in station for Family Fun Bike Ride participants. Those registered for the race portion of the Downtown Dash may also participate in the bike portion for free. However, those just participating in the Family Fun Bike Ride must pay the $25 Dash Registration fee (it's worth it! and you get a Dash t-shirt!).
